Education Secretary Linda McMahon will lead a U.S. delegation to the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympics in Italy later this month, the White House announced Wednesday. The closing ceremony is set to be held Feb.

O’Brien, like many others, did most of her early career training at Palisades Tahoe. Other Sierra-based athletes include Tahoe City resident and three-time Olympian Bryce Bennett, who will be competing in speed events as a new dad, and two-time Olympians and close friends Keely Cashman, from Strawberry, and AJ Hurt, from Carnelian Bay.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, this Friday’s (February 13) previously scheduled Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 watch party events have been canceled. All other previously planned watch party events as detailed below will take place as scheduled.
